Marie-Chantal Estienne exhibition
The Marie-Chantal Estienne exhibition will be held at the Beauraing Tourist Office from 24/05 to 05/06/2024. The works of this painter will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.
Let the artist introduce herself:
“I’m an artist who likes to be touched by the beauty of nature.
Walking in the forest, admiring a flower… an insect… a stone…, watching the clouds, enjoying a ray of sunshine… breathing it in…
a ray of sunshine… breathing it in, listening to the sound of a river, the song of a bird, the wind in the trees…
are all things that recharge my batteries and inspire me deeply.
It’s usually on the basis of this that an inner impulse pushes me to pick up my brushes and to
and transcribe onto canvas the atmosphere and emotion I felt when I was out in nature, through the use of colour, light and light.

“Often, I paint from memory; sometimes from a photo I’ve taken that still moves me when I choose it.”
My background :
I studied graphic design in Brussels, then worked in this profession for many years in a communications agency.

At the same time, I took art classes at the Maison des Arts in Schaerbeek. There I practised
charcoal, dry pastel and watercolour.
Later, I enrolled for evening classes at an art school in Brabant Wallon, where I began to paint in my own way.
I started painting with acrylics; when I moved to the Beauraing border, I enrolled in a Fine Arts
enrolled at a local art academy.
Today, I can see how my ‘artistic journey’ began with exclusively figurative
